The past few nights I’ve been fighting insomnia. Now, that’s nothing new, but with so many things plaguing me right now I can’t help but let my mind run. Trying to figure out what I’m supposed to be wanting, or how I’m supposed to make a difference have been my main pass times.

I’ve focused on what’s important, and to me it looks a bit like this:

This is your life.

Do what you love, and do it often.

If you don’t like something, change it.

If you don’t like your job, quit.

If you don’t have enough time, stop watching television.

If you are looking for the love of your life, stop;

They will be waiting for you when you start doing the things you love.

Stop over analyzing, life is simple.

All emotions are beautiful.

When you eat, appreciate every last bite.

Open your mind, arms and heart to new things and people;

We are united in our differences.

Ask the next person you see, what their passion is, and share your

inspiring dream with them.

Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself.

Some opportunities only come once, seize them.

Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them,

so go out and start creating.

Life is short…

So this is the awkward first post…

Who knows if anyone is going to read this, but if you do, Hi!

I’m Alexis. I’m kind of random, well, really random. I’m married to a wonderful man named Tony, and I have two children. Bella (almost 3) and Jacob (16 months), and NO, I’m not a die-hard Twilight fan. Those are both family names, and we didn’t even think about the book when it came to naming them.

I compose music, and work for a production company. I’m blessed enough to work with my best friend, who I’m sure I’ll mention quite a bit. His name is John. We get into a lot of trouble, but he’s an amazing friend and an even more amazing god father.

I’m also a compulsive baker. Like, almost psychologically unhealthy amounts of baking. (It’s definitely physically unhealthy) You’ll probably hear and see a ton of cookies, cupcakes and candy.
